To talk about William Ackerman is to talk about two things: Windham Hill Records (a classical record label in New Age genre, founded by him) and the guitar, an instrument this american with German blend knows how to awake and care as the whistles blowed by the wind in an afternoon photographed by the moon.

Lovers of science fiction classics might be reminded of Jules Vernes "Journey to The center Of The Earth" when they muse over the title of the second TYA-album for Prudence. But here the journey goes straight to the core of human existence: "Atma", a term from the classical Indian language Sanskrit, denotes the SELF, the eternal and undestructible inner character of each being. Often ATMA is translated as "soul". But in contrast to the Western (and also Christian) concept of "soul", which refers to the psychic structure of the being, ATMA only and exclusively means the eternal and unchangeable inner identity.

Track composed and recorded just in one day as a challenge after a conversation.
On this track Jorge has worked the harmonic part like a house placed on a mountain: you can see every day different colours and moods. When you use so many instruments it is easy the song sounds not very good because we feel it as a misty landscape, but as we are listening to it we finally have another perception of the track.
Very interesting trumpet and charango here!

Roedelius

Hans-Joachim Roedelius: that's nothing! We are talking about the grandfather of electronic music (almost 73 years old). A German (who lives in Austria) who after a hard childhood is a symbol and a pioneer of those sounds that some crazy German invented in the 60ies.
He is the same that Kluster, Cluster, Harmonia and have collaborated with Brian Eno, Alquimia, Tim Story... He is, above all, an open man and not jumped on a base. Thanks, Roedelius to be born!

vidnaObmana releases 'Continuum 2'

'Continuum' represents a multi-layered synonym for the collective ambition and vision of Dirk Serries (vidnaObmana, Fear Falls Burning) and Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Bass Communion, Blackfield), motivated by their immense passion for a wide-range of musical styles. 'Continuum 2' is the second release in a series of limited edition albums being issued by Soleilmoon Recordings. Each CD is presented in a beautiful oversized digipack with breathtaking design and artwork by Lasse Hoile.
'Continuum 1', the first release, captured both artists' love of desolate, minimal music, and featured three 20 minute pieces of richly melancholic textural music. It sold out within a few weeks of its release, and was subsequently pirated in the Czech Republic. Fast-forward two years, and Serries and Wilson are back with 'Continuum 2'. The new album again has three long pieces, but breaks from its predecessor by enriching its electronic soundscapes with a variety of crushing electric guitars. The album defies easy categorization as it willfully and relentlessly crosses boundaries and genres, breaking every rule it meets and tearing down fences and expections along the way. Is it ambient? Is it metal? It is neither, and yet, it is both. But it's so much more. Think of a Sci-Fi horror film shot on the surface of an abandoned, ghost-ridden planet, or the soundtrack to a slow motion apocalypse in which all life is extinguished beneath rock, dust and convulsing earth.

'Continuum 2' will be released on 16th July in a limited edition of 2,000 copies in a tall DVD style digipack with a set of postcards.
