„Playa Azul – Flamenco Chill Vol. 2“ is the sequel in the compilation series from Blue Flame, with artists coming from the nuevo Flamenco scene and others having their roots more in lounge, electronic and jazz music. This mix of both sides explains the term “Flamenco Chill“. Vol. 2 also has elements of soft Flamenco sounds with down beat and electro tunes as a sort of red thread running through the production.

This fusion, which also runs through Playa Azul Vol. 1, can be seen as a new direction in lounge, down beat, elelectro or chill out. Light Flamenco guitar riffs are used, since the acoustic guitar is the focal point of this style music. Together with down beats to chill out, lounge all the way to some jazz elements, the base line is created for this compilation.

As in Vol. 1, the band Duende, from Mallorca (Spain) is part of the CD, together with Agua Loca, Jaleo, Jazzamor, Ojos de Brujo, Spains well known Nuevo Flamenco band, Plazasonora, from Madrid all the way to the new Flameco Chill guitar player Jose Delgado. A colorful mix of musicians and bands from this new music scene.
